Jessalyn and Shane/ Early Fall Photography

There is nothing better than being able to photograph a friend and the man she loves! These photos took place in a field overgrown by flowers in Berryton, KS and then moved to a friend’s lovely pond. Not only were these two SO photogenic but the evening was also beautiful. Thank you Jessalyn and Shane for the awesome memories. I am looking forward to capturing more adventures for you in the future!

McClellan-Stony Point Hall Wedding

Wedding of Tyler & Rachel McClellan

written by Rachel McClellan

On Saturday, June 4th, I experienced the happiest day in my life. I married my best friend, my inspiration, the He-man to my She-rah, my sugar and my spice, the love of my life, Tyler! Tyler and I were able to celebrate our day amidst loved ones on a sunshiny summer afternoon set against the countryside backdrop of Stony Point Hall near Baldwin City, Kansas.  To top it off, we enjoyed the added privilege of having our wedding day captured by the talented eye and lens of my friend, and now sister-in-law, Lindsey Wagers. From start to finish, our day was downright extraordinary. We hoped to spread joy through our wedding day’s homespun personal touches as well as the emphasis on music, laughter, and family.  We love that Lindsey so perfectly encapsulated our deep yet whimsy love story!

With joy!

Fullmer Family Spring Session

I was contacted by Kara to get updated photos of her family and in a whirlwind of planning, we met at Ward-Meade Park to take photos with the spring flowers. I knew immediately that this family would be so much fun to photograph. I also found myself wanting to know more about Matt and Kara -as they seemed to love each other SO much.

To sum it up, love found Kara on her birthday. She was in college and moving into an apartment with her roommates on her birthday. Matt was her neighbor (Kara said they shared a wall!) and came over and introduced himself while she was moving in. One week later he asked her for a date. They met in August, were engaged by October and then were married December that year. Fast-yes, but love knows no time.

I was struck by the strength of their relationship and that of their family. Through this stregnth they are making their dream of owning a dental practice a successful reality. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for these two!

Winter Maternity Photography

Having gone though this a few times myself, I can easily say that pregnancy has many challenges. One of those is seeing the beauty of your changing body-especially towards the end of your pregnancy. I suppose this is why I love to take maternity photos. When I’m on the other side of the camera, all I see is strength, love, selflessness, patience and bravery.

After finding out Andrea was pregnant with her 6th girl, we decided she needed some photos to document her journey. How awesome it is to have 6 GIRLS! Once again, we had an abnormally warm winter day and Andrea was able to wear her beautiful lace wedding dress! I loved watching the love between Andrea and Casey. There is no doubt after seeing these two that this child is loved already by everyone in the family.

Congratulations on your baby! I can’t wait to meet her!
